SIGHTSEEING > SOUTH PELION > FAVOURITE SEASIDE VILLAGES > AGIA KIRYAKI

A quaint little village on the Aegean coast with features reminiscent of those rare unspoilt fishing ports of the Greek islands. The special Aegean blue of the shutters of the houses and furniture of the tavernas contrasting with the pots of red geraniums and gaily painted fishing boats that are very active in this working, boat-building village makes this spot of Pelion unique. There are some excellent sea-food restaurants here. Off season it is very quiet whilst in high season Agia Kiryaki becomes a favourite haunt for Greek people eager to retreat from the heat of the big cities and spend their vacation in a quiet and relaxing way.

At a distance of 6 klm up the mountain (less via the ever present mule-track shortcut) the traveller will have the pleasure of discovering the little village of Trikeri, which, like its neighbour, resembles an island community rather than typical Pelion village.
